The Brighton Beachside Dash raises vital funds for the research work at the St George Medical Research Foundation.
The Dash takes place the in October each year and is a partnership between the St George Medical Research Foundation and Rockdale City Council, with St.George Bank as the event’s naming sponsor.
Each year about 1500 fit and active men, women and children pull on their running gear and head to Peter Depena Reserve in the beautiful suburb of Brighton-Le-Sands to take part in the 10km or 5km fun run or the Kidz 2km mini-marathon for under 12’s.
The 10km and the 5km events are timed events with the 10 very sneaky running Dragons on hand to pace the run at a variety of times from 35mins through to 90mins. The Dragons are there to help the runners achieve their personal best time.
The Brighton Beachside Dash as been described (by the organisers!) as “probably the most beautiful fun run in the world!”
