My name is Lauren Kyriacou.
Without the support of both St George & Sutherland Hospitals, I might not be here today.
Half-way through 2015, I developed pre-eclampsia with my first child Lily. My condition was potentially fatal for both me and my baby.
We all need hospitals. In the last year I have needed them a lot.
I support the St George & Sutherland Medical Research Foundation because it exists to improve the quality of care that we all receive.
Lily and I are now volunteering to take part in medical research, as Lily is about six months old. By being involved in medical research, I’m hoping to limit the risks for anyone else. I never want anyone to go through what I did.
We are so grateful to the teams at both hospitals for looking after me, and for saving Lily’s life. My husband Andrew & I can’t imagine life without her. So please consider making a donation today.
