In 2016, the St George & Sutherland Medical Research Foundation will be calling on local businesses to support our Give Back Business Leaders program. By connecting a community of successful, entrepreneurial minds, together we can help to improve the lives of the patients who visit our local hospitals through medical research.
Denise Coult and Vicki Nock from 4C Recruitment Solutions in Hurstville have been supporters of the St George & Sutherland Medical Research Foundation for a number of years, joining our Give Back Business Leaders program in July 2015. For Denise, donating to medical research in our local hospitals is personally fulfilling, but it’s also a way to involve her team in charity and network with like-minded local professionals.
“I joined the Give Back Business Leaders program to help promote the great work that the St George & Sutherland Medical Research Foundation funds in our hospitals. As a local business, we feel it’s essential for business leaders to come together and help to support the needs of our community. It’s also an opportunity for me to meet other business owners, as we get behind the work of the Foundation.”
“Personally, I value the contribution medical research has on saving and enhancing people’s lives. As a local resident, I feel it’s important to donate and give back to charity in any way I can, whether as a business leader, or by running and fundraising for the St.George Bank Beachside Dash.”
Denise and Vicki have also attended our Medical Research Gala Ball, and are committed to supporting the St George & Sutherland Medical Research Foundation in the year ahead. When choosing a charity to support as a business, Denise and Vicki involve the 4C team to collectively support a cause that is dear to their hearts. As Denise explains:
“Everyone in our team has had first-hand experience of a loved one who has lost their life to cancer. For me, it was my father. We support the Foundation because medical research can have such an enormous impact on people’s health, wellbeing and quality of life.”
“We feel very fortunate to have two reputable hospitals in the local community, and as a business we feel it’s important that medical research receives the funding it deserves. The fact that the St George & Sutherland Medical Research Foundation offers funding across a wide range of medical projects – such as cancer, obesity, women and children’s health – our business and our people are very committed to supporting such research in any way we can.”
In 2016 the St George & Sutherland Medical Research Foundation (SSMRF) will be hosting a series of Give Back Business Leaders functions, to meet and discuss the ways that as a collective group, our local businesses can contribute to real, lasting change.
In Denise’s own words: “As the local and Australian population grows and ages, medical research is key to the future of our society.”
