2019 Golf Day raises $23,000 for local medical research

St George and Sutherland Medical Research Foundation host annual charity golf day at The Australian Golf Club

The Australian Golf Club, one of the most prestigious golf clubs in the country played host to the annual St George & Sutherland Medical Research Foundation golf day on Thursday 16th May to raise funds to support medical research at St George and Sutherland Hospitals.Seven teams of four participated in the exclusive member-sponsored day, hosted by the St George Private Hospital and Dr Harry Prevodoros.

WED Group, captained by Matthew Worthington, were the winners with a nett score of 53.75. Following in second place was the McGrath team, captained by Matthew King with a score of 57.75 Nett.

Nearest to the pin on the second hole went to Steve Pesavento while Stuart Zalunardo won the longest drive on the 12th.

The big winner on the day was local medical research, with $23,000 raised to support innovative research projects at St George and Sutherland hospitals.
