2019 St George and Sutherland Hospital Medical Research Symposium

On Thursday 17 October, the annual St George and Sutherland Hospital Medical Research Symposium was held at the St.George Bank Kogarah Auditorium.

More than 250 SESLHD staff attended the day-long event which showcased current research projects from St George and Sutherland Hospitals, as well as presentations from postgraduate and undergraduate students and keynote lectures across a range of topics.

Professor John Edmonds, Chair, and Jacquie Stratford, CEO, St George and Sutherland Medical Research Foundation (SSMRF), gave an update on the organisation’s recent achievements and future projects.

 

A/Prof Greg Davis Co-Chair of the Symposium Committee said “the annual Symposium is an opportunity for people working in the hospitals to have time out to hear about the current research going on to inspire them to think about their work, improve their practice and provide better healthcare for our patients.”
