Caringbah Rotary Supports SSMRF

Caringbah Rotary is a motivated group of local businesses and residents who have fun and fellowship whilst working to improve the local and international community.

In June this year, Caringbah Roatry selected SSMRF as one of their charities to support, donating $5000 to the Foundation.

On Monday 8th July, SSMRF was invited to speak at Caringbah Rotary’s members meeting.  SSMRF guest speakers Tracie Junghans, Jacquie Stratford and Professor Ian Cook who were delighted to attend and provide an update on the Foundation.

SSMRF Chief Executive Jacquie Stratford Caringbah Rotary for the generous $5,000 donation which will go directly towards medical research.

“The Foundation is proud to partner with community minded organisations like Caringbah Rotary to raise awareness and funds to support medical research in our local hospitals”.

Professor Ian Cook gave an interesting talk on the importance of supporting medical research followed by an insight into a current research project.

Earlier in the month, Caringbah Rotary was awarded the “Rotary Club of the Year” shield! That’s out of the 62 Clubs in the District!

SSMRF would like to congratulate Caringbah Rotarty on this fantastic achievement and thank all their members for their hard work in the community.
