You don’t have to be a researcher to make a big difference to medical research. By fundraising for SSMRF you can help drive medical research forward in St George and Sutherland hospitals.

Ideas on how you can fundraise for us

There are several ways you can fundraise for SSMRF, including:

  • Donate: Make an annual or monthly donation to SSMRF.
  • Host a fundraising event at school, at work or with friends: Whether it’s a morning tea, BBQ, trivia night, or fundraising lunch, every dollar you raise helps make a difference in supporting research in our hospitals.
  • Get active for SSMRF: Go for a Run. Do an ocean swim. Play your favourite sport. Set up your own sports day. Or Run for Research in the annual Beachside Dash! You could also sign up for a pre-existing event like City2Surf, Stadium Stomp Sydney or Sutherland2Surf and choose us as your charity to fundraise for.
  • Participate in SSMRF annual events dedicated to raising funds for medical research at the St George and Sutherland Hospitals: Charity Golf Day and Lunch and walk, jog or run in the annual Beachside Dash
  • Make up your own challenge: Come up with your own creative initiative. If you’ve ever wanted to motorbike around Australia, sail the Pacific or climb a mountain, why not do it for research? Tell your story and share your fundraising page to get sponsored.
  • Partnership and sponsorship: Explore partnership opportunities with SSMRF.

Contact SSMRF and tell us about your idea
