Our volunteers generously donate their time and talent so we can raise more money and awareness for research in our local hospitals. We are always on the lookout for new volunteers. If you’re passionate about making a difference and improving the health of your community, you will love volunteering at SSMRF.

“Time for Research” volunteer program

Our new “Time for Research” program is aimed at providing community members with engaging and exciting volunteer opportunities at St George & Sutherland Medical Research Foundation (SSMRF).

There is something for everyone.

Our volunteers come from many diverse backgrounds, across all age groups, offering an impressive range of skills and experience. Most of all our volunteers have fun and will be welcomed into the SSMRF family.

Why volunteer?

Volunteering is up to you – we appreciate any time you can give, whether it’s often or just occasionally. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with new friends who share the same passion for helping others.

As a volunteer, feeling valued and useful is essential. We strive to ensure that every volunteer knows their contribution matters.

Moreover, volunteering offers numerous health and wellbeing benefits, including reduced stress, improved physical and mental health, and even greater longevity. It’s not just about giving back; it’s also about nurturing your own wellbeing while making a positive impact on the community.
