You don’t have to be a researcher to make a big difference to medical research.
By fundraising for SSMRF you can help drive medical research forward in St George and Sutherland hospitals.
There are a number of ways you can fundraise for SSMRF.
Host a Fundraising Event
Host a fundraising event at school, at work or with friends.
Whether it’s a morning tea, BBQ, trivia night or fundraising lunch, every dollar you raise helps make a difference to support research in our hospitals.
Get Active for SSMRF
If you love to move, you can raise funds to research.
Go for Run. Do an ocean swim. Play your favourite sport. Set up your own sports day. Or Run for Research in the annual Beachside Dash!
Register for one of our Partner Events
You can fundraise for SSMRF in the City2Surf, Stadium Stomp Sydney, Sydney Morning Herald Half Marathon, Tough Mudder, Sutherland2Surf and more.

Fundraising can be as easy as asking members to participate in a wear Red for Research in the workplace or school and wear ‘Red for the day. Making a gold coin donation makes a difference.
Make up your own challenge
If you’ve ever wanted to motorbike around Australia, sail the Pacific or climb a mountain, why not do it for research!
Tell your story and share your fundraising page to get sponsored.
Be an SSMRF Everyday Hero
To make fundraising easy for you, we’ve partnered with Everyday Hero to help you create your own secure, online fundraising page.
In just a few minutes, you can set up your fundraising page and share the link with friends and families.
EverydayHero will send out receipts to your donors, and all donations over $2 are tax deductible.
