St George District Cricket Club Walks for SSMRF

On Sunday 27 October 2019 St George District Cricket Club conducted its Annual Charity Walk to help raise awareness and much needed funds for the St George and Sutherland Medical Research Foundation. This was the 6th year the Club chose SSMRF as their Charity Partner and Club President and Georges River Mayor, Kevin Greene and his wife Frances again led the Walk.

The walk was a great success raising $16,500 for SSMRF medical research!

The Foundation takes this opportunity to thank St George District Cricket Club for supporting the Foundation. We would also like to thank everyone involved in this walk and everyone who kindly participated and donated.

This year’s Walk started from Hurstville Oval as the St George DCC 1st grade team commenced the first game of their T20 double header against Easts. The walk covered 20kms through Hurstville, Allawah, Carlton, Sth Hurstville, Oatley, Mortdale, Peakhurst, Riverwood and Penshurst before returning to Hurstville Oval in time for the Club’s Sponsors/Members/Past Players function at 2.00pm. This coincided with 1st grade taking on UNSW in the 2nd half of the T20 double header.
